CSDA has joined the League of California Cities to host a Budget Action Day this Wednesday, June 3, to bring special district and city officials to the Capitol to talk to legislators about the consequences of a Proposition 1A suspension on the state, local governments and Californians.

CSDA members are encouraged to participate in this one-day event in Sacramento.

The governor has proposed to borrow $2 billion from special districts, cities and counties in order to help close an ever growing budget deficit.

This is a crucial time that we maintain a unified local government front to show legislators why a Prop 1A suspension is to the benefit of no one, and will only result in a deeper budget hole for the state and loss of crucial services to constituents.
