Former Georgia Mayor Mark Musselwhite was arrested and charged with public indecency after being found naked at his campsite.

According to an article by The Huffington Post, officers of the Department of Natural Resources found Musselwhite after they had received complaints of a wandering naked man.

The DNR reported that Musselwhite appeared to be intoxicated and several alcoholic beverages could be seen at his campsite.

Musselwhite was elected to the Gainesville City Council in 2000 and served six years.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that a DNR Ranger had spoken to Musselwhite earlier in the day.

Musselwhite denied the allegation, saying he had been swimming in creek.

Musselwhite had served as a deacon of the First Baptist Church in Gainesville.
