Exactly what disaster has hit Santa Ana in which the Santa Ana City Council will declare our once Grand City a Recovery Zone?

Was there a massive earthquake, fire or flood? Was there a Tsunami or tornado?

I didn’t think so, yet the Santa Ana City Council will declare that Santa Ana is an area of significant poverty, unemployment, high rate of home foreclosure or general distress.

Really?

Is this the message the Santa Ana City Council wants to send to investors seeking to open businesses, residents seeking to relocate to Santa Ana, or voters in the upcoming November 2010 elections?

Has the Santa Ana City Council so ruined Santa Ana that it’s willing to label us as a “Recovery Zone” just so it can tap into 14.7 Million in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act bailout bucks?
