A number of California cities were honored as the top U.S. state and local Web portals in recognition for digital solutions and communication with citizens, government communities and business.
e.Republic’s Center for Digital Government, a media company focused on the state and local government, announced this week the winners of its 2009 Best of the Web and Digital Government Achievement Awards. Honors were awarded nationwide.
Riverside won 2nd place and Rocklin earned a 4th place award in the City Portal Category.
Both Alameda County and San Diego County were finalists in the County Portal Category.
In the Government-to-citizen State government category, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works eNotify System won an award.
In the Government internal category, San Diego County’s Calendar Dashboard (no public access) was awarded.
