The department desires a director to oversee its Support Services Bureau. 

Supported by 52 staff, the Bureau is responsible for critical services such as the Department’s Apparatus Program, Infrastructure and Supplies, Communications, Operational Analysis and Deployment, and Information Technology.  The Deputy Director serves as a key member of the Fire Chief’s executive team.

The ideal candidate must possess a strong familiarity with the operations of a full service fire department.   Comprehensive knowledge regarding all aspects of Support Services will be expected.  Experience with strategic planning will also be considered favorably.  Superior people management and communications skills are prerequisites for success in this role.
