Jaime Fontes will take the head job in Santa Paula.
In a feature article done by the local newspaper, Fontes portrays himself as a calm leader who gets things done.
“I’ve always considered myself a catalyst for positive, inclusionary change,” he said during a break from a round of meetings that would last all day and into the night.
Fontes looks to have a different style than his predecessor, Wally Bobkiewicz, who often drew headlines of his own as he promoted the city of 30,000. Fontes said he preferred to work behind the scenes.
