Continuing the trend of job elimination in local government, Sacramento County may eliminate 1,000 jobs the deficit grows.


The Sacramento Bee is reporting that “Sacramento County, closing in on a third year of sharp budget cuts, now is projecting a larger-than-expected deficit of $181 million after July 1 and may eliminate more than 1,000 jobs to help close the gap, interim Sacramento County Executive Steve Szalay said on Wednesday.”
