After more than 40 years in public service, first in the Army and then in various cities in California,  City Manager Jim Erickson called it quits in July.  He then was rehired immediately as interim city manager until his replacement was chosen.




The process of recruiting and hiring a city manager appears to be coming to an end. Oct. 15 is Erickson’s last day as interim city manager, although he’s informed the City Council he will stay on if needed.  The council will decide Tuesday whether to extend his contract.
