Riverside is seeking the involvement of nine of its residents to help review its charter. The recommendations of the committee, including amendments to the charter, will be included on the March 2011 ballot.
The City Charter is a unique document that, in many ways, acts like a constitution for the city adopting it. It can only be adopted, amended, or repealed by a majority vote of a city’s voters.
