One of Time Magazine’s Heroes of the Planet and a descendant of one of the most notable political families in the country will speak to California mayors Thursday about water issues facing the state and nation.

Robert F Kennedy Jr., the nephew of former President John F. Kennedy, is the featured speaker at the two-day U.S. Conference of Mayors regional meeting of the Mayors Water Council. It will be hosted by Pleasanton Mayor Jennifer Hosterman at the CarrAmerica Conference Center in Pleasanton. Hosterman was named co-chair of the Mayors Water Council for the U.S.Conference of Mayors in September 2009.
