Despite complaints of subpar performance, a computer contractor with Orange County is seeking a quarter-million dollar bonus as part of its 10-year $266 million contract to manage the County’s needs.

Questionnaires were used to assess the contractor’s performance, however, only 31% of county staffers filled out surveys.

The county may have to pay its computer contractor more than a quarter-million dollar bonus despite repeated complaints by the county’s chief information officer of substandard performance.

It would be the largest bonus the county has ever awarded to ACS, which has a 10-year $266 million contract to manage the county’s computer needs.

The contract, which lays out the performance bonus requirements, expires in June.
