Mountainview will lose it’s longest-serving city manager next year, it has been revealed. Kevin Duggan, will end his 18 years of civic service in April of next year.

Kevin Duggan, the longest-serving city manager in the history of Mountain View, announced his retirement Thursday, effective April 2.

Duggan, appointed city manager in July 1990, joined the Mountain View staff after serving the city of Campbell in several capacities for 18 years, the last six as its city manager.

His selection as Mountain View’s city manager allowed him to return home – he had lived in the community while attending high school and college, and began his public service career as a student intern in the Mountain View City Manager’s Office in 1971.
