The City of Irvine is one of the largest planned urban communities in the country and encompasses more than 65 miles. Part of the community is the award-winning Orange County Great Park. At twice the size of New York’s Central Park, the Orange County Great Park will embrace environmental sustainability, preserve Orange County’s agricultural heritage, and honors the legacy of the former military base that it’s being built upon.

The City of Irvine is seeking a Finance Manager/CFO to join the Orange County Great Park team.

The Great Park has an operating budget of approximately $17 million and over $80 million of ongoing capital improvement projects. Currently, the Great Park team is embarking on the first phase of major construction at the Park, with an approved budget of approximately $70 million.

The Finance Manager/CFO will develop and execute the financial strategies that support the Orange County Great Park’s business plan. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, public administration, or related field, and six years of highly responsible financial management experience, or any equivalent combination. A Masters and current or previous assignments as a Chief Financial Officer or senior financial executive with public agency experience is preferred.
