When PublicCEO first started, we had the help of some tremendous human beings. One of them, who’s commitment to PublicCEO and its readers continues today, is Louis Detorre. Louis is more than a staff writer and contributor to the site; he’s also had to overcome tremendous challenges in his life.

Louis Dettorre has accomplished many things both with PublicCEO, through his academic journey and in the Arizona Legislature. The one thing Louis will never tell you is that he is 1 of 30,000 people in the United States with Cystic Fibrosis.

Now, CFCareForward has nominated Louis for its 2011 Scholarship. It’s an honor and a challenge, as it requires an online vote to win. Being named their Thriving Graduate Student would secure Louis a $19,000 scholarship to help him finish his Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Arizona State University.

In addition to his work with PublicCEO, Louis was a four-year baseball player at the University of Dubuque and has had a Character and Leadership award named in his honor at his high school, in Dixon, California. He now works as Assistant to Arizona State Senator Rich Crandall.

Louis is one of the most hardworking and deserving individuals I have had the privilege of working with.

I ask you to help me ensure that he receives this scholarship and help him finish earning his degree. It will be another victory for someone who has already accomplished so much.

Please follow this link and vote for him.

Thank you for your readership and commitment to PublicCEO.
