This isn’t the first time that Riverbank City Councilman Jesse James White has been in trouble with the law for making poor decisions after drinking. In 2008, he was on probation for “wet and reckless driving.” This time, the charges are child endangerment and DUI.

Early Monday morning, White was allegedly driving his Corvette at a high rate of speed through the town of Oakdale. That’s when police and an eye witness say he sideswiped a parked car. In the accident, the airbags deployed, leaving his four-year old son with a bloody nose. Apparently, White then tried to flee the scene, but onlookers detained him until police arrived.

He was arrested and booked on the charges, and later released on $25,000 bail.

In addition to the drinking charges, White has also faced felony drug charges. In 2010, police found marijuana and cocaine in his car. The felony charges were later reduced as part of a deal, and White plead guilty to misdemeanors.
