San Fernando City Councilman Mario Hernandez last made headlines for admitting during a council meeting attended by his wife that he was having an affair with one of the other city council members. He’s now resigned from the council.

Hernandez was also one of three members on the council who were facing a possible recall election as the community worked to unseat those whom they felt had discredited and embarrassed the city. The other two potentially recalled members include Hernandez’s mistress and the Mayor who is accused of having an affair with a police officer.
