Everyone is aware that the statewide ballot is packed with initiatives. But when local agency measures are included, the ballot may grow untenably long.

Much like the state, local agencies and schools are looking to replace revenues lost during the down economy or that has been raided by Sacramento. But with so many people asking voters to dig a little deeper, the challenge of gaining approval may be just a bit harder. In Fresno, one of the six school districts is hoping to find voter support for a $22 million bond to rebuild facilities that could be as much as 70 years old.

Across Fresno County, voters will have the chance to decide on nine different tax or bond measures that would cost anywhere from $4.3 to $60 per $100,000 of assessed property value.
