San Mateo County Employees’ Retirement Association (SamCERA) is seeking a qualified Retirement System and Web Engineer. The successful candidate will provide desktop, application and web support for SamCERA’s information systems, as well as serve as technical advisor and liaison to vendors, contractors and department staff on system hardware/software products, services and issues.
The candidate we seek will have a Bachelor’s degree in either Computer Science or Business Administration; at least five years of IT application and desktop support experience and knowledge of both web site operations/maintenance and web application development languages; significant experience and knowledge in the areas of application support and web design, pension software administration, electronic document management, Dynamics GP, database administration and active directory administration; experience writing and editing content for web; proficiency with multiple desktop publishing/graphics programs, such as Illustrator, Photoshop and HTML editing software, such as Dreamweaver; and knowledge of CSS, XML, HTML and Content Management Systems.
In addition, the ideal candidate will possess a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification; excellent analytical skills with the ability to effectively troubleshoot and solve systems issues; superior interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; and ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups both verbally and in writing.
