Covered California is preparing to partner with non-profits and counties to help spread the word about the State’s new healthcare exchange. It’s part of an information blitz to help connect the uninsured to coverage in California.

Part of the $250 million outreach campaign is $43 million for local non-profits and community groups.  Riverside and San Bernardino Counties have thrown their hats into the mix, hoping to capture some of the money to support programs at County-run clinics. Those programs would advise individuals that they may be eligible for coverage and subsidies, and then direct them to Covered California.

Plans are expected to vary between bronze, silver, and gold plans – each with their own deductibles, per-visit costs, and premiums.
