Know of anyone who is considering graduate studies and a future career in local government? The California City Management Foundation is offering two $1,500 scholarships to help pay direct college expenses, including books and tuition.
The Wes McCulre Scholarship goes to two deserving students each year who show an interest in pursuing a career in local government. Students can study any area of academia to qualify. The application is fairly straight forward and includes current academic information (such as GPA, courses, and area of focus) as well as two letters of recommendation that speak to the applicant’s future in local government, and a 750-word essay. The deadline to submit the application is August 2, 2013.
