The County of Sacramento, California is recruiting for two positions, seeking qualified individuals to serve as either Economic Development and Marketing Specialist or Senior Economic Development and Marketing Specialist. With a county population of 1.5 million, Sacramento is more than home to the State Capitol, it is a robust metropolitan area with fine arts, professional sports, and easy access to some of the state’s most stunning examples of natural beauty.
Both of these positions perform economic development and marketing activities of the Office of Economic Development and Marketing. That office works to ensure that businesses in Sacramento County have the opportunity to grow and expand. The office also works to retain existing businesses.
Successful candidates will have at least three years of full-time, paid, demonstrated experience in economic development, redevelopment or community development, business assistance, commercial development, public and/or private finance or workforce development. A Bachelor’s Degree or above from an accredited four-year college or university is required. A Master’s Degree or other graduate degree is desirable.
