Robert Hamud has joined MuniServices as a Client Services Manager where he will be dedicated to helping local government in California with their revenue management needs. Robert brings over 13 years of experience from the public sector, most recently serving as the CFO of Cascade County, Montana and Principal Financial Analyst with the City of Santa Rosa prior to that.

“I am excited to be a part of the MuniServices team, and I look forward to providing quality service to California cities, counties and transportation authorities to maximize their revenue and provide the most accurate data analysis available,” said Hamud. MuniServices provides tools and resources to local governments throughout the state that are invaluable to management and fiscal staff when developing forecasts, budgets and making difficult policy decisions.

Prior to joining MuniServices, while working for Cascade County, Hamud managed the County’s budget and grant funding, as well as developing the first Capital Improvements Plan and the first strategic planning process for the elected County Commission. He also developed a long-term financial plan for the city of Santa Rosa. Hamud has also served as a Budget Analyst for the State of Montana Health and Human Services Department, where he conducted forecasting for statewide public assistance programs and served as the lead conducting fiscal analysis on all proposed legislation and voter-driven initiatives impacting the Department, including the Affordable Care Act and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

“MuniServices helps city management discover missed revenue opportunities, recover unpaid fees and collect taxes from already existing revenue sources,” commented Hamud. “Cities and elected leaders are always interested in finding revenue that does not require a tax increase, and it is rewarding to be able to show cities that there are alternatives and innovations that can help them be more economically stable for the long term.”

Hamud has a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Utah and a Bachelor’s Degree in Government from California State University, Sacramento.
