LaTanna Jones

The City of Fairfield is pleased to announce hiring a new director of the Housing Services Department. LaTanna Jones comes to Fairfield with approximately 27 years of experience in housing administration and various forms of real estate finance and neighborhood development.

For the past three years, Jones worked for Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency in the capacities of director of Housing and assistant director of Public Housing. He also served for 16 years as the director of Housing Development for the City of Richmond Housing Authority, and in Oakland’s Housing Authority as its Development project manager. Additionally, Jones has experience in various nonprofit housing agencies.

Fairfield’s City Manager, Stefan Chatwin explained, “Fairfield is fortunate to have such an experienced and well regarded housing expert join our team to lead our Housing Authority, and Housing Services, and Community Development Block Grant divisions. These divisions are being combined into one full-service Housing Services Department for greater efficiency. LaTanna brings a track record of successfully developing and managing more than 4,000 units of housing in California.”

Jones shared, “I am excited to join Team Fairfield. I am optimistic about bringing my experience together with other dynamic housing professionals at the City to make an astounding impact in the Fairfield community.”

LaTanna Jones joins the City on June 29, 2020. His office is located on the first floor of City Hall.
