City of Paramount logoAmong the various business relief efforts offered by the City of Paramount, the new Paramount Al Fresco outdoor dining program is fresh take on a catchy idea. As a temporary program for restaurants that eases requirements and approvals for outdoor dining on sidewalks and parking lots, Paramount residents and customers can now safely enjoy an outdoor meal at their favorite local restaurants while still following COVID-19 physical distancing requirements.

“In these difficult times, it’s important to lift up our community,” said Mayor Peggy Lemons. “Being able to help our local restaurants while offering residents and visitors creative ways to enjoy a meal outdoors is both exciting and essential.”

Residents and customers can track which businesses are participating in the program through our new Paramount Al Fresco website. The site features participating businesses’ information, frequently asked questions and beautiful imagery of al fresco dining in action. The City has also created a video in which you can hear from business owners and patrons explaining why Paramount Al Fresco is important and attesting to the spirit of resilience in the community.

“The City Council felt it was important to come up with a strategy to help our struggling businesses in this time of need,” said City Manager John Moreno. “As part of our comprehensive Business Recovery efforts, Paramount Al Fresco is just another example of our City’s strong partnership with our business community and ability to work together.”
