As Election Day approaches and with the potential of increased demonstration and protest activity across the region, the City of Beverly Hills is taking a proactive approach to ensure a safe community for residents, businesses and visitors.
Beginning on Halloween and through Election week, the Beverly Hills Police Department (BHPD) will be on full alert throughout the residential and business districts. Additionally, other law enforcement personnel and private security companies will offer support and coordinate closely with BHPD.
As a precautionary measure, some businesses in the City may choose to limit operations during this time. The City may also take preventive measures to protect City facilities and property.
Beginning at 11:59pm on Monday, November 2, Rodeo Drive will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic from S. Santa Monica Boulevard to Wilshire Boulevard until 11:59pm on Wednesday, November 4. There will be no access to Rodeo Drive from Brighton Way or Dayton Way.
“While we are hopeful for peaceful weeks ahead, your Police Department is prepared to protect and serve,” said BHPD Chief Dominick Rivetti.
