County of Solano logoThe Solano County ROV discovered an omission in the Voter Information Guide for District 4 voters.  The voter guide was missing the Candidate Statement for Jerry Castenon.

“We discovered the omission late Wednesday and immediately got to work informing voters of the issue,” said Tim Flanagan, Solano County Chief Information Officer and Registrar of Voters.  “This is an unfortunate error caused by our vendor who assembles the voter information guide.  We will be reviewing the QC process of these voter guides to ensure this doesn’t happen in the future.”

An estimated 2,500 voter guides were impacted.  Approximately 1,700 voters were informed via e-mail on Wednesday evening and were provided copies of the corrected pages.  The Registrar also mailed correction copies to all 2,500 voters on Thursday morning.  It is important to note, there are 195 different variations of the voter guides in Solano County for the November 3, 2020 election.  Voters can download the corrected voter information guide on the ROV website, www.SolanoCounty.com/Elections.

“It’s important for our office to act quickly to correct any errors with our documents, regardless of the cause” says Flanagan.  “If voters believe there is incorrect information in their Voter Guides or have an issue with their ballots, we ask them to contact us right away.”

The Registrar of Voters has not received any voted ballots from this district in Dixon, however, ballot drop boxes are available throughout the county for voters starting Monday, October 5.

Early Voting starts Monday, October 5 at the Registrar of Voter’s office, located at 675 Texas St, Suite 2600, in Fairfield.  Ballots can be dropped off at over 15 locations also starting on Monday.  Details on voting options and key election dates are available on the ROV website www.SolanoCounty.com/Elections.
