The spooky season is upon us and so is the return of La Verne’s annual Halloween events. Following a virtual Halloween season in 2020 due to COVID-19 related closures, La Verne is excited to bring back many of its beloved Halloween traditions including La Verne’s annual trick-or-treat candy walk taking place in Downtown La Verne.

The event is sure to promise smiles for all as La Verne children get a head-start on their candy collecting, with the event taking place the evening before Halloween on Saturday, October 30 from 2-5 PM. Admission is free to all those wishing to attend.

This is a cherished annual tradition in which every year most of the local merchants in downtown La Verne open their shops to host a safe, family-oriented trick-or-treat event that strengthens La Verne’s community spirit. Participating businesses of La Verne’s beautiful downtown area are along D Street and Third Street, just south of Bonita Avenue.

Families and children of all ages are invited to come out and collect Halloween treats and goodies from these resident-favorite local businesses. While at the event, attendees are also encouraged to take some time to visit and patronage local La Verne stores and eateries to show them support, especially after such a challenging year.

This year’s event will also feature the winners of the 2021 Halloween coloring contest. Winners of this year’s contest will have their artwork displayed downtown from October 14th to October 31st. Winners were chosen and notified on October 7th and winners received a special prize from our local merchants. Look out for artwork from the following winners:
