City of Fullerton logoThe Fullerton City Council has recommended Jeff  Collier to serve as Acting City Manager upon Steve Danley’s departure and until a permanent replacement  is selected. The Fullerton City Council wishes to thank Mr. Danley for his service to the city during his  interim assignment. “We are grateful to Mr. Danley for leading our community over the last several months,”  says Mayor Jung. “His experience and knowledge kept Fullerton steady during this time of transition. We  congratulate and wish him all the best.”  

The City Council approved Mr. Collier’s appointment during the Tuesday, December 21 regularly  scheduled City Council meeting. In addition to having served as Whittier City Manager for eight years before  retirement, Mr. Collier has nearly 40 years of local government experience, including 18 years as a  department director overseeing Community Development, Economic Development, and Public Works. Mr.  Collier has also previously served the cities of Chino Hills, West Covina, Glendora, and Claremont. 

“I’m honored to be asked to serve the City Council and the residents of Fullerton as Acting City  Manager,” said Mr. Collier. “Fullerton is a wonderful community with a long history. I look forward to assisting  the Council and staff in moving Fullerton forward during the process of transitioning to a new City Manager  in 2022.” 

Mr. Collier holds a Bachelor of Science in Urban and Regional Planning from Cal Poly Pomona and  a Master of Public Administration degree from Cal State Fullerton. Mr. Collier will assume his new role as  Acting City Manager on December 25, 2021.
