Town of WindsorIn my final day here at the Town, I would like to share my appreciation and gratitude for the opportunity to serve as your Town Manager. Words cannot express how much I’ve enjoyed working with the community, Town staff and Town Council. We have faced a lot of challenges and controversy over the past few years, and together we have overcome them.  It should also be remembered that we made some significant accomplishments during this time too. A few things we can all be proud of:

  • Improved emergency readiness and resilience
  • Increased production of affordable housing units
  • Initiation of important infrastructure projects to serve the future needs of community
  • Support of our local businesses and business community during the pandemic
  • Completion of the floating solar panel green energy project
  • Improved transparency in government

I especially would like to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of our staff members.  Through it all, our staff has risen to the challenges of meeting the needs of the community during times of crisis. They truly enjoy carrying out the day-to-day services and operations that keep the Town running. They are proud to work for this community and it shows in their work. I can honestly say that in my 25 years of government experience, this is the most talented and dedicated team that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. The next time you see one of our team members out on the street, in our offices or at an event, let them know how much you appreciate the work they do.

Looking forward, our new Interim Town Manager Mark Linder is ready to take the helm. Mark’s extensive experience in local government, steady hand, and even temperament will be invaluable as the Town prepares to transition to new leadership in 2022. I am confident his skills will serve us well.

It has been an honor and privilege to serve the Windsor community – a true capstone to my 25-year career in public service.  I will miss everything about it and will always look back fondly on my time here.

Thank you, and all the best to you and yours in 2022.

Ken
