City of Menifee logoCity of Menifee council members and staff along with members of the community joined together this morning to celebrate the groundbreaking of The Gale Webb, Kids-R-#1, Action  Sports Park. This new state-of-the-art facility will be the largest of its kind in southern California.

The Gale Webb, Kids-R-#1, Action Sports Park will feature bike trails with over 30 obstacles for different skill levels including a bicycle playground and a 22,000 square foot pump track. The new six-acre park is located at the southeast corner of Evans Road and Craig Avenue.

The park is named for Gale Webb, a long-time Menifee resident who inspires and encourages youth through her nonprofit organization, Kids-R-#1. Gale has overcome tremendous adversities with poise and persistence. Following a parachute accident, doctors told her that she would never walk again. Gale proved them wrong and has gone on to make a grand impact in the actions sports industry and has been an inspirational mentor to kids of all ages.

“It’s only fitting that the largest bike park in southern California be named after someone so foundational to the popularity of extreme sports,” said Community Services Director Jonathan Nicks. “We hope this new park will inspire the next generation of action sport athletes.”

The Gale Webb, Kids-R-#1, Action Sports Park is expected to open in fall 2022.
