On July 1, 2022, the La Cañada Flintridge City Council swore-in Kelly Wine as the new City Treasurer, who will be filling the vacancy from former City Treasurer Jeffrey Wang.
After an extensive recruitment process, City Council interviewed applicant Kelly Wine on May 17, 2022 and proceeded to appoint her to the City Treasurer position on June 7, 2022.
Wine holds over 35 years of experience in bond sales, trading and public finance with national brokerage firms. The latter 19 years of her career were devoted to municipal bond underwritings in both competitive bidding and negotiated pricings, which included work for the State of California.
As a resident of the City for 23 years, Wine is an active member of the community, involved with the Women’s Golf Association through her membership at the La Cañada Flintridge Country Club and volunteering locally at her child’s elementary school and with the La Cañada Presbyterian Church.
At the June 28, 2022, Special Meeting the City Council presented former City Treasurer Wang with a plaque, a 15-year service pin and an LCF street sign engraved with his name as a token of appreciation for his 15 years of dedicated and outstanding public service to the City.
“The City greatly credits Jeffery’s leadership and faithful guidance in contributing to LCF’s financial stability and success,” said City Manager Mark Alexander. “The City has many positive projects and initiatives to complete in the near future that will strengthen our community, making it an even more desirable location to work, live and play. We look forward to our new Treasurer, Kelly Wine, to help us follow through on those goals.”
The City of LCF is looking forward to Kelly Wine serving as City Treasurer and would like to congratulate Jeffrey Wang on his retirement and thank him for his exceptional public service.
