City of Vallejo logoThe City of Vallejo is pleased to announce that Solano County has awarded the City $4.5M in ARPA funding to support homelessness.

The Board of Supervisors has allocated $3M towards the construction of Vallejo’s Broadway Project. The Broadway Project is a 47-unit Permanent Supportive Housing Project through the State’s Homekey Project.

Additionally, the Supervisors allocated $1.5M towards the construction of the Vallejo Navigation Center. The Navigation Center will bring 125 shelter beds with wrap-around services to Vallejo. The services will include personalized case management, job training/employment services, eviction prevention, outreach, medical and dental services, housing navigation, meals, and more for those residing at the Navigation Center.

This process to receive the funding began in January 2022 (Broadway Project) and February 2022 (Navigation Center). After numerous CAP Solano JPA meetings to discuss the priority for homelessness requests and three Board of Supervisor meetings in early 2023, the City of Vallejo is overjoyed to close the construction cost gap for these critical projects.

We would also like to thank our City Council Members and the Solano County Board of Supervisors, who worked diligently to secure this funding for our homeless residents. Their tireless work and support in this effort will undoubtedly make a difference in hundreds of people’s lives.
