The Mono County Board of Supervisors adopted a Resolution to approve an employment agreement with John (Jack) Conry as Mono County’s first Chief People Officer (CPO). The CPO will work under the County Administrative Officer and will serve as an advisor to the Sheriff-Corner, Assessor, District Attorney, and all appointed department leads. Mr. Conry’s background in Human Resources, and experience in employee retention and recruitment make him a welcome addition to the Mono County team.
“We are pleased to welcome Jack to Mono County, and look forward to the experience and background that he will bring to this new County role,” said Supervisor Rhonda Duggan, Chair of the Mono County Board of Supervisors. “The overall health and wellbeing of our employees is our greatest priority, and we have reconfigured the Human Resources role with that priority in mind.”
The Chief People Officer oversees the County’s Human Resources division. The CPO will champion people-centered business practices and foster an environment of collaboration, positivity, and innovation across the County’s departments. Mr. Conry will use his judgment skills to solve complex problems and make effective decisions on behalf of the County. He will serve as an experienced mentor and motivator, using his background in people management to elevate employee morale and improve performance.
With over eight years of experience in Human Resources, Mr. Conry has focused his professional efforts on increasing employee retention and engagement. Mr. Conry studied at Colorado State University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in History and Political Science before obtaining his Juris Doctorate from Tulane University in Employment Law.
