At its June 20 meeting, the La Cañada Flintridge City Council adopted the Annual Budget & Financial Plan for Fiscal Year (FY) 2023-24.
The City continues to maintain a strong financial position, with a balanced General Fund budget totaling $19,485,100. The City Council continues to support essential community services by allocating over $700,000 for community groups, which includes the YMCA of the Foothills and the Community Center. Additional funding was also approved for an additional special assignment sheriff deputy.
“We are pleased to present the Annual Budget & Financial Plan for FY 2023-24, which reflects the strong financial position of the City and the priorities of the City Council,” stated Director of Finance Alex Kung. “This budget reflects the Council’s dedication to delivering exceptional programs and services that meet the needs of our residents and businesses. This budget enables the City to maintain its core services while also investing in the future of our community.”
As part of its 5-Year Capital Improvement Project Plan, the City Council also allocated $21,811,150 in Special Funds and $5,522,225 in General Funds for the maintenance or replacement of existing public facilities and roads in addition to the construction of new soundwalls.
