County of MonoLate last week, Sandra Moberly, Mono County Administrative Officer (CAO), announced hiring Michael Martinez, PMP as Mono County Information Technology (IT) director.  Mr. Martinez has nearly 25 years of experience advancing IT and delivering project management within the public sector.  As IT director, Mr. Martinez will plan, organize, coordinate and manage the development and implementation of Mono County and Town of Mammoth Lakes information systems and technology resources, including hardware, software, network, storage, communications and related infrastructure projects.

“We are excited to welcome Mr. Martinez to the county team,” said Supervisor Rhonda Duggan, chair of the Mono County Board of Supervisors.  “The proper management and oversight of information technology is critical in this day and age, and we look forward to Mr. Martinez leading us to the next level.”

Mr. Martinez will assume the role effective October 2, 2023.

Mr. Martinez received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Davis, and has received numerous industry-related certificates, including the Project Management Professional (PMP), and the California County Technology Executive Certificates.
