This prestigious recognition is granted to local government professionals committed to the highest standards of integrity, continued learning and dedication to creating and supporting thriving communities.

ICMA’s mission is to advance professional local government through leadership, management, innovation and ethics and by increasing the proficiency of appointed chief administrative officers, assistant administrators and other employees who serve local governments and regional entities worldwide. The organization’s 13,000+ members worldwide include educators, students and other local government employees.

To receive the prestigious ICMA credential, a member must have significant experience as a senior management executive in local government, have earned a degree, preferably in public administration or a related field and demonstrate a commitment to high standards of integrity and to lifelong learning and professional development.

Maraskeshia has over 20 years of experience in public service leadership, 15 of those years serving in public works. She earned a Master of Business Administration from Eastern Kentucky University and a bachelor’s in business administration and management from the University of Kentucky. Since her appointment in January 2022, Maraskeshia has spearheaded numerous initiatives that have enhanced the community’s infrastructure and quality of life.

Maraskeshia commitment to integrity, ethics, continuous learning and professional growth sets an exceptional standard within our community and her leadership and expertise have been invaluable contributions to Santa Rosa.
