The City of Lynwood is pleased to announce the appointment of Julian Lee as Interim City Manager. Lee brings over two decades of municipal experience and a deep understanding of Lynwood’s operations, positioning him to seamlessly continue the City’s progress and effectively address community needs.
As Lynwood’s Director of Public Works for the past two years, Lee excelled at overseeing and managing all department activities. His expertise has been instrumental in advising the Mayor, City Council and department heads on public works and engineering matters.
“I am honored to step into the role of Interim City Manager for the City of Lynwood,” said Julian Lee. “Having worked closely with the City’s leadership and staff over the past two years, I am committed to ensuring a smooth transition while continuing to serve our community and advance our key initiatives.”
Lee’s background includes key positions in several cities, including Director of Public Works for the City of Lawndale, Deputy Public Works Director for the City of South Pasadena and Utilities and Project Manager for the City of Norwalk. This comprehensive experience in municipal operations, combined with his knowledge of public works, engineering and utilities management perfectly equips him for the position. Additionally, he received a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and holds a Master’s in Business Administration and Management from the University of Southern California.
