At the 2025 California Association of Local Economic Development (CALED) Annual Conference, the City of Eastvale received two Merit Awards for its innovative and collaborative economic development initiatives. Eastvale’s first hotel, Staybridge Suites, received a Merit Award under the “Collaborations in Real Estate & Finance” Category. Additionally, the City’s Business First Walks received a Merit Award under the “Programs and Promotions” Category.
The Eastvale Staybridge Suites Hotel, located at 12509 Schleisman Road, Eastvale, CA 92880, opened earlier this year and features a large banquet hall and the only rooftop bar/restaurant in Western Riverside County. The project began in 2020, with the City working closely with the developer to provide marketing and funding acquisition assistance. This hotel marks a new chapter for Eastvale, as it supports the City’s efforts to drive tourism and community growth. It is already quickly becoming the go-to spot for local residents and businesses to host events and celebrations. Information regarding the Eastvale Staybridge Suites Hotel can be found at https://www.ihg.com/staybridge/hotels/us/en/eastvale/cnoev/hoteldetail.
Eastvale’s Business First Walks is an exciting initiative aimed at enhancing relationships between the City and the local business community. Launched in March 2023, this program has city staff visiting local shopping centers to connect with every business in Eastvale. The objective is to engage with each storefront in Eastvale at least once a year, fostering meaningful connections and gathering valuable feedback to support local growth. During these visits, staff members take the time to understand the unique needs and challenges faced by local businesses. City staff engage in open conversations, offering support and resources that can help enhance operations and promote growth. This hands-on approach not only strengthens relationships between the City and business owners but also helps to create a vibrant and interconnected community.
The City of Eastvale expresses its utmost gratitude to CALED for recognizing its innovative and collaborative economic development initiatives.
