CCMF LogoThe California City Management Foundation (CCMF) is excited to announce that applications are now open for its first-ever Mid-Career Workshop, held April 22–24, 2026, at The Ranch in Laguna Beach. The application deadline is Friday, January 16, 2026 at 5 p.m.

“The Mid-Career Workshop marks an exciting new chapter for CCMF,” said Executive Director Ken Pulskamp. “As our first-ever program designed specifically for mid-tenure city managers, it fills a long-recognized need in the profession. I’m confident participants will find the experience both energizing and highly valuable. Beyond the focused discussions and insights, attendees will build connections that provide lasting support throughout the next stages of their careers.”

This immersive workshop is designed to give participants the time and space to step back, connect with peers and gain new perspectives. Through guided conversations, collaborative activities and facilitated group sessions, attendees will explore themes such as leadership impact, career evolution, balancing professional and personal demands and refining long-term purpose. The program also includes dedicated networking opportunities, including group meals and a special dinner in Laguna Beach.

Participants will leave the workshop with fresh insight, practical strategies and strengthened professional connections to support the next stage of their city management journey, all within a small, select cohort that ensures an intimate and highly engaging experience.
