City of Wildomar

SALARY: $145,692 – $210,630 Annually DOQ, and an attractive benefits package. 

THE POSITION:

The City of Wildomar, (pop. 36,875) a small rural and growing community located in Southwestern Riverside County on the I-15 Interstate between Corona and Temecula, is seeking a highly qualified and enthusiastic candidate to join its team as Administrative Services Director overseeing a variety of internal services including Finance, Human Resources, Risk Management, and Information Technology.  The position also serves as City Treasurer. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned public sector professional with a broad range of experience in the operations, services, and activities of a comprehensive administrative services program including accounting, finance, investments, collections, purchasing, franchise agreements, billing, payroll, budget preparation, contract administration, grant administration, human resources, risk management, and information technology.  A thorough understanding of financial and budgeting processes and principles, and the ability to foster a team environment that promotes staff development, creativity and innovation is desired in the ultimate candidate.   

QUALIFICATIONS:

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in finance, accounting, business or public administration, or a closely related field; and seven years of increasingly responsible professional level experience in finance and accounting, of which at least three years were in a managerial or supervisory role with administrative and supervisory responsibility. A Master’s degree in a related field is highly desirable.  Experience in managing human resources, risk management and information technology programs is highly desirable.

SELECTION PROCESS:

Following the closing date, resumes will be screened in relation to the qualifications criteria.  Applicants with the most relevant qualifications will be invited to personal interviews conducted by phone with the HRDPM consultants during the week of February 20th – 25th, 2023.  Subsequently, the most qualified candidates will be invited to a panel interview anticipated to be held the week of March 6th, 2023.  Finalists will be invited to a selection interview with the City Manager the week of March 13th, 2923.  It is anticipated that the appointment of the new Administrative Services Director will commence in early April, 2023.
