HOPE Center

HOPE Center is a pioneering organization dedicated to improving the engagement with individuals experiencing homelessness in the communities they serve. By acting as a crucial link between the community and the care system, HOPE Center aims to efficiently connect individuals to necessary shelter and care alternatives. Collaborating closely with local police departments and city leaders, they have established a dispatch-driven outreach response team to address critical needs.

Their primary objectives include providing a specialized response team led by Outreach Coordinators to handle calls that don’t require police intervention and to connect clients with existing programs that facilitate their transition from the streets to suitable shelter options, such as permanent housing. Despite the time and effort required for these transformations, HOPE Center’s commitment to persistence and system-wide coordination has proven successful. Their strategic focus on peak contact times, primarily during regular business hours, underscores their dedication to maximizing impact and transforming lives within the community.

Under the policy direction and direct oversight of the Board of Directors, the Executive Director administers and supervises all organizational activities in furtherance of the partners’ commitments to make a positive impact on homelessness.
