The City of Roseville is seeking a dynamic, professional leader who is a collaborative problem-solver to serve as its next Planning Manager. The Planning Manager will direct, oversee, and materially participate in the work of the City’s Planning Division.  The Planning Division operates within the Development Services Department and is responsible for current and long-range planning, citywide environmental coordination, maintenance of the General Plan, Housing Element, and zoning codes, and review of proposals for construction and development within the City of Roseville. The selected candidate will coordinate activities and projects with other City departments, review and prepare recommendations to the Planning Commission and City Council regarding legislative and development-related entitlements and serve as staff liaison to the Planning Commission.

The Planning Manager performs professional planning duties in the fields of long-range planning, current planning, environmental coordination, and building permitting, including a variety of diverse professional planning assignments. The incumbent will oversee technical reviews and evaluations of land use, permit applications, and environmental impact documents, oversee resolution of the most complex customer service issues, and provide management oversight and direction to professional and support staff. The Planning Manager will ensure compliance with all aspects of the City’s General Plan and related ordinances and laws, and perform related work as assigned.
