Continuing the media swirl over a battle for a parking spot is not the goal here, but we’ve got to make fun of this a bit.
Two Oakland City Councilwomen have been squabbling over a parking spot closest to the City Hall door.
Seriously? The whole thing is reminiscent of the famous Seinfeld episode in which George won’t back down and give up a parking spot in front of Jerry’s apartment.
The two Councilwomen Delsey Brooks and Jean Quan have been disputing for months, even requiring a five-page analysis done in February from City Attorney John Russo on the matter.
One cited seniority; the other cited “dibs!”
Ultimately, it looks like a coin toss is going to solve the matter.
If only other city issues could be solved in this same manner.
