Before doing so, the city wants to hear from its citizens regarding the current and future priorities of animal control.
To achieve this, Tracy has hired Citygate Associates, LLC, a consulting firm with experience in animal control operations and services, to help.
Citygate will facilitate community conversations to gather the input necessary to build community consensus regarding what programs are valued by the community and how best to offer them.
Citygate will also provide an assessment of current animal control program offerings and compare them to best practices in the field.
Ultimately, through the community conversations and best practices assessment, the city hopes to arrive at a decision with the community regarding the best and most cost-effective way to modernize Tracy’s animal shelter.
