The city has launched, VoteSantaClarita.com, featuring information on the 2010 City Council Election. The new Web site is designed to keep community members informed about the upcoming April 13, 2010 elections.
The new site will provide voters with candidate information, campaign disclosures, as well as past City Council election results. Information on polling places, mail voting applications and further notes on voter registration.
Santa Clarita continues to embrace the trend towards Government 2.0.
The city’s communication department already features an advanced city Web site, making web presence a priority and utilizing the Internet’s ability to communicate with constituents.
“The City of Santa Clarita strives for an open, transparent process in everything we do and integrating 2.0 into our culture helps us achieve this,” Santa Clarita City Manager Ken Pulskamp said.
“By providing our residents and business community with online information, applications and tools, we are meeting our customers where they are.”
