The current Clovis City Manager is looking to move up.

Kathy Millison is reportedly a finalist for the City Manager opening in Santa Rosa. Millison has been with Clovis since 1983, where she has seen the population grow from 32,000 to 97,000.

The job in Santa Rosa pays more than $200,000 compared to the Clovis job that pays $140,000.

Millison said Santa Rosa city leaders would visit Clovis next week and make a final decision later this month. Millison, 58, said she will accept the job if it is offered.

According to the Fresno Bee, she has informed the Clovis City Council about her pending departure. Clovis requires a 60-day resignation notice for the city manager.

More from the Bee:

Council members said Millison performed admirably under difficult budget constraints.

“Her leadership is well-respected, not just in our city but across the Valley,” said Council Member Lynne Ashbeck, who has served on city commissions and the council since 1987. “She has been here a long time.”
