Inyo County, a County that boasts itself the Adventure Capital of the World, could be the next stop for a highly qualified and motivated individual. They are recruiting a Deputy County Administrator to work as a full-line assistant to the County Administrator.

Inyo, which has the highest peak in the lower 48 state, is also home to Death Valley, the lowest point in the United States.  But the county has more than just its natural beauty to set it apart from other municipal governments in the state. For the right candidate, its unique set of challenges – including a large proportion of federally owned lands – and opportunities could be a chance for both professional and personal advancement.

The County of Inyo is actively seeking to hire a hands-on leader. In addition to carrying out countywide administrative supervision for the Board of Supervisors, the County Administrative Office is responsible for a wide variety of services and programs, including, but not limited to: budget and finance, economic development, emergency services, information services, and personnel.

A Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in a related field, and four (4) years of progressively responsible professional administrative experience in a governmental agency, including at least two (2) years of management responsibility are the minimum requirements.

Annual salary range: $76,444-$113,052.
