Sometimes the scars of campaigns run deep. And those scars brought forth sparks at a swearing in of Daly City Council members, as a former council woman went toe-to-to with the current police chief, who was trying to silence her.

The scene was described as bizarre as the two squared off over remarks the 65 year-old former councilwoman tried to give. The police chief tried silencing her before ordering another police officer to take away her microphone. She had been attempting to respond to some of the criticisms levied b current council members against the re-elected City Clerk who was being re-administered the oath of office.

All five members of the council baked the Clerk’s opponent, and all walked out during the remarks.
