Fire departments across the state routinely train and prepare their firefighters for the day they are called into duty. But whoever said that training had to be boring?
Firefighters in Orland were recently spotlighted by ABC News for their unique approach to brushing up their emergency skills. In the video below, you can see the emergency personnel donning their heavy protection gear while playing dodgeball in an practice exercise control their breathing. Exerting physical effort while utilizing their air tanks allows the fire crew to better conserve their oxygen during an emergency.
