Walnut Creek Recreational Facilities to reopen week of March 4: Golf, Tennis, Pickleball, Skate Park

City of Walnut logoBased on the Contra Costa Health Services order issued on April 29, 2020, regarding outdoor recreation, the following recreational facilities have reopened with guidelines for safe and responsible use:

Boundary Oak Golf Course
Golf resumed at Boundary Oak Golf Course on Monday, May 4, with safety precautions including golf carts limited to one rider per cart, reduced capacity on the driving range, and increased cleaning of high touch points. Tennis and Pickleball Courts
The Heather Farm Tennis Center will reopen when sufficient Lifetime Activities staff have been scheduled and trained to ensure smooth operation. Reopening information will be available from Lifetime Activities at https://www.lifetimeactivities.com/.

Outlying courts in various parks, including the pickleball courts at Rudgear Park, have reopened with signage posted with protocols for safe play, including singles play only and no off court gatherings allowed at benches or picnic tables. Full guidelines are available online here.

Skate Park
The Skate Park at Heather Farm Park is open to the public as of Monday, May 4.
